CHRIS CORNELL And Wife Sued By Former Maid

TMZ.com reports that SOUNDGARDEN frontman Chris Cornell and his wife Vicky are being sued by their former maid.

According to the lawsuit, Mora left the Cornell household on the day after Christmas 2011 when she thought she was done for the day. Vicky apparently felt otherwise and asked the maid to return. Elia refused, causing Vicky to respond by screaming a series of insults and then firing her.

Mora's lawsuit claims she was forced to work 43 hours a week and never received any overtime. She also says that her 30-minute lunches were always interrupted, as were her 10-minute breaks.

The Cornells' lawyer, Howard King, told TMZ.com that he thinks the maid and her lawyer were just trying to get some media attention, adding, "The true facts are that Ms. Mora did not work full-time for the Cornells, was not fired by the Cornells and belatedly raises the spurious claims only after another one of her claims, for workers compensation for alleged injuries, was denied."
